Jordan: A Journey to the Heart of the Middle East

Jordan is a country with a thousand-year history, full of ancient ruins and incredible landscapes, with a very warm population.
Located in the Middle East, on the eastern bank of the Jordan River, Jordan enchants visitors from all over the world thanks to its rich cultural heritage, its ancient ruins and its landscapes, Inhabited since the Paleolithic, Jordan had as rulers the kingdoms of Ammon, Moab and Edom during the Bronze Age, and later the Assyrian, Neo-Babylonian, Nabataean, Roman and various caliphates, and finally the Ottomans. In 1946 Jordan gained independence, and became a founding member of the Arab League. Today it is a constitutional monarchy, governed by King Abdullah II who holds extensive executive and legislative powers. It has a population of about 11 million, and is characterized by a semi-arid climate.
Tourism plays a very important role in the country, with places like Petra, the Dead Sea thermal waters, the Wadi Rum and Wadi Mujib Reserve, Um Qais, the capital Amman and many other, visited by tourists from all over the world.
With its rich history, its natural beauty, its warm hospitality and its culinary richness. Jordan continues to be an unmissable travel destination for those seeking adventure, discovery and wonder in the heart of the Middle East. Despite the problems in the Middle East region, tourism in the country continues, with its services always active and ready for the many tourists who visit every year.
